Silk Sonic’s ‘Leave The Door Open’ Tops Billboard’s Hot 100 Chart

Bruno Mars and Anderson .Paak‘s new R&B supergroup Silk Sonic topped Billboard‘s all-genre Hot 100 chart with the help of the duo’s first single “Leave the Door Open.”

“Leave the Door Open” jumped from No. 3 to No. 1 for its first week atop the Hot 100 songs chart. Mars earned his eighth Hot 100 No. 1 and Anderson. Paak recorded his first.

“Leave the Door Open” recorded 21.5 million U.S. streams, up 13%, and sold 28,600 copies, downloads and CDs combined, which is up 138%, in the week ending April 8, according to MRC Data. The track also earned 59.1 million radio airplay audience impressions, up 9%, in the week ending April 11.

Billboard noted that the sprint to No. 1 by “Leave the Door Open” in its fifth week marks Mars’ fastest run to the top, besting his previous eight-week ascent to the summit with “Uptown Funk!” in 2015.
