Solange, Tina Knowles Lawson and more support Michelle Williams after treatment for depression

A day after Destiny’s Child star Michelle Williams announced she checked herself into a mental health facility for depression, the 37-year-old singer is receiving love and support from her fiancé, family and friends.

Tina Knowles Lawson, who styled Destiny’s Child, commented on Williams’ public message, writing, “My Belle, I’m soo proud of you! You have given unselfishly of your time and support to so many and I know that you will be the best example of self care which we all need. Keep being a warrior and an advocate for you. I love and support you with all my being.”

Solange Knowles, Tina’s daughter and Beyoncé’s sister, also added her voice to the chorus of supporters sharing, “Love u so Michelle! Really proud of you. Sending u all the love in the world.”

Celebrity friends like Missy Elliot and Jussie Smollett were among the dozens of Hollywood stars who also chimed in. “I’m inspired by your courage … May God give u a peace of mind/ strength/ happiness we love u sis,” Elliot wrote. Smollett noted that “honesty saves lives. Believe in that. Keep soaring queen.”

It’s been a busy few months for Williams. She reunited with former Destiny’s Child members Beyoncé and Kelly Rowland for Beyoncé’s Coachella performances.

She also got engaged to spiritual adviser Chad Johnson this spring. He shared his love and support for Williams writing, “I’m so proud of your courage and commitment to this!! We are in it together and on an AMAZING journey of watching THE master artist paint a priceless work for art!”
