Lorraine Kelly was one of many ITV stars bidding a heartfelt farewell to Good Morning Britain boss Erron Gordon today. The director had his last day on the show this morning as before he headed off to a new role.
The host of her own ITV mid-morning show, Lorraine shared her warm wishes this morning.
She retweeted a photo from colleague Tim Carr which featured the GMB team saying goodbye.
He had penned: “So we’re all gathered at @GMB for @errongordon last show at the helm.
“It’s a very emotional morning. We’ll miss you mate. You’re the best.”
Alongside this, Lorraine added her own farewell to “fabulous” Erron.
She wrote: “This fabulous fella will be sorely missed.
“His passion and professionalism are legendary.
“He ALWAYS goes the extra mile but above all he is a wee ray of sunshine and positivity.
“Love you @errongordon,” Lorraine added in her tweet.
The star was in tears earlier this morning as he bid farewell to his colleagues on the show.
Andi Peters had even managed to get Erron’s name up in lights in Times Square in New York City.
Alongside this, Ben Shephard and Susanna Reid also shared their farewells to him as well.
Susanna then quipped: “Why would you leave us?”
Before Erron admitted: “I think it’s the alarm clock.
“You’ve broken me at 6.30am! Thank you to everyone.”
Ben then added: “We’re going to miss you mate!”
Erron announced he was leaving the show a few months ago.
He will be moving on to work with Piers Morgan on his new TalkTV series.
He’ll be the new Executive Creative Director at News UK Broadcasting.
“Having directed Piers for countless hours of live breaking news and event television, I’m thrilled to be in his ear again calling the shots,” Erron said of the news.
Piers then added: “I’m absolutely delighted he will be joining us on this exciting new challenge.”
