William and Meghan CLASH: Prince finds her ‘DIFFICULT’ – rift rumours ‘undoubtedly true’

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s new royal household made headlines last week as they prepare to split from the Cambridges.

However, the Queen is said to have vetoed plans to would see the office ran completely separately from Buckingham Palace.

Prince Charles is funding the new office, and a royal source told the Sunday Times: “They want their household to be entirely independent of Buckingham Palace, but were told ‘no’.

“There is an institutional structure that doesn’t allow that kind of independence.”

Is the split in the households down to disintegrating interpersonal relations between the royals?

Meghan Markle has caused a shake-up in the Royal Family, that is hard to deny.

The former-actress, who was born in Hollywood, married Prince Harry in a lavish ceremony in Spring last year.

Now pregnant, the Duchess of Sussex has be credited for helping to modernise the British Royal Family.

She has also been made Vice President of the Queen’s Commonwealth Trust and carried out numerous Commonwealth related appearances with Harry.

There have recently been claims of a feud between between Kate Middleton and Meghan, but now an author said said the issue may lie with “responsible” William.

Author of ‘Untitled: The Real Wallace Simpson, The Duchess of Windsor’ and ‘A Princess in Love’, Anna Pasternak appeared on Yahoo’s ongoing series, The Royal Box today.

She said rumours of a rift between the couples are “undoubtedly true”.

Anna said: “I think that Prince William is very responsible and as I said knows what his role is and Kate has come alongside that executed that extremely well and I think it’s quite difficult to have had Meghan who have seems to want to modernise and set her own agenda and you can’t have it all.”

Meghan and Harry and Kate and William will have separate royal offices in recent news.

Meghan and Harry are creating a new royal household with Sara Latham, who previously served on Hillary Clinton’s 2016 presidential campaign team.

They will run their office from Buckingham Palace while Kate and William run theirs from Kensington Palace.

The royal author was also grilled on whether she thinks Harry and Meghan’s marriage will last.

She said: “Nobody wants to cast ill on a new marriage with a young baby but I think it’s going to become increasingly difficult.”

The author issued some words of warning to the Duchess of Sussex.

Anna said: “I would like to offer a note of caution to Meghan.

“I think she’s heading for a very tricky situation because I think, actually, very little has changed in the last 80 years in terms of the power of the courtiers

“The one goal of the monarchy, the ultimate goal is survival and for that the spotlight has to be on the monarch or the heir apparent.”

Her father was previously married to Roslyn Loveless and Meghan has two elder half sibling – sister Samantha Markle and brother Thomas Markle Junior.

Meghan’s first television appearance in the USA was in an episode of the medical drama General Hospital in 2002.

She later moved on to roles in CSI, Without a Trace and Castle along with bit parts in Hollywood films including Get Him to the Greek, Remember Me and Horrible Bosses.

Meghan was also a “briefcase girl” on Deal or No Deal – but her most famous role was as Rachel Zane in legal drama Suits, which launched in 2011.

She was written out in the finale of the seventh series when her character got married, which aired in April 2018 – just before she got married herself.

Charity and humanitarian work

Meghan Markle’s career in television has gone hand-in-hand with her support for causes close to her heart.

She wrote about the stigma around menstrual health in an article for Time magazine and was a Global Ambassador for World Vision Canada – with whom she travelled to Rwanda for the charity’s Clean Water Campaign.

And her commitment to gender equality has seen her work with the United Nations – receiving a standing ovation in 2015 for her speech to mark International Women’s Day.

In September 2011, she wed film producer Trevor Engelson, who she began dating in 2004.

But the pair divorced two years later in August 2013, citing irreconcilable difference.

She was in a relationship with celebrity chef Cory Vitiello for almost two years, before they broke it off in 2016 but the two remain good friends.

And in June 2016, she met Prince Harry on a blind date set up by a mutual friend.

Their relationship began in October that year and just over one year later, on November 27, 2017, the pair announced their engagement.

They married on May 19, 2018 at St George’s Chapel in Windsor Castle.

Meghan’s heritage

Some have claimed Meghan Markle is the first mixed-race member of the Royal Family.

Historians are still arguing about Queen Charlotte, the wife of King George III.

But Meghan will be the first royal to openly embrace a mixed-race heritage.

She has written about the difficulties of being a biracial actress in Hollywood as she claims she is not black enough for some roles and not white enough for others.
