Ashley Cain's partner Safiyya 'feels numb' and 'will never be the same again' in heartbreaking post to daughter Azaylia
SAFIYYA Vorajee has shared a painfully honest and open letter about her baby girl Azaylia following her death.
Safiyya and partner, Ex On The Beach's Ashley Cain, have been mourning the loss of their daughter, who died aged eight months following a battle with cancer.
The devastated mum has been open with her struggle in coping with the loss, and often shares photos of her daughter's grave, which she visits two to three times a day.
The tot's graveside has been covered in flowers and cuddly toys, particularly of Lion King's Nala and Simba, after lions became an emblem of Azaylia's incredible battle.
On Monday, Safiyya posted an open letter to her baby girl, heartbreakingly discussing her tragic death.
In the post, Safiyya calls Azaylia her 'hero', and said she was "honoured to have her as a guardian angel".
Alongside a picture of mum and daughter sharing a cuddle while Azaylia in hospital, Safiyya wrote: "How do I cope without you??
"The answer is I don’t, My heart hurts, my body feels numb, my inside feels painfully sore, I miss you so much 🧡
"Waking up every morning not being able to be a mummy to you crushes me, your smile, your snuggles, the way you touched my face and pulled my lips and did your pokey finger to get involved with touching things are only a fraction of what I miss about you 🌈"
"Waking up, trying to Get out of bed while suffering with anxiety & depression, is a challenge alone," she continued.
"how do I cope with my day what do I do? because I should be doing everything for you baby 💋
"I sit and cry, i kiss your pictures, I make your new home pretty and light it up for you 🥰 I speak to you all the time, I [know] you hear me & I’m honoured to have you as my guardian Angel 👼."
"but honestly my grief is something that I don’t no where to start with, I no I will never be the same ever again until we’re together," she wrote.
"While I’m taking baby steps, each hour is not the same let alone each day, losing my little girl has changed my world, it now feels empty.
"I’ve never had a hero before & Azaylia is my hero & when I do finally get myself together & manage to do simple things it’s because my hero inspires me."
"The pain of losing a child or a loved one is something that’s not spoken about very much, grief is painful 😥," Saffiyah said. "And very difficult, but always no there with you, look to the sky, look for the signs they are giving you, this is real they are still with us 👼"
"There just in paradise waiting for us now 👼 one day Azaylia mummy will be with you for eternity in paradise baby I love you princess."
