Boris Johnson's sister Rachel is caught 'lying' by Claude Littner

Boris Johnson’s sister Rachel was caught ‘lying’ by Claude Littner on tonight’s The Apprentice: The Best Bits.

The Prime Minister’s sister, who appeared on the celebrity version of The Apprentice in 2019, got caught out by the businessmen when she made a promise she couldn’t keep.

Rachel, who also had Amanda Holden and Ayda Williams on her team, promised a client that Robbie Williams would sing their table a song at a charity cabaret event the candidates were organising.

The client offered to donate £10,000 for the Angels singer to serenade their table – a promise, Rachel couldn’t deliver.

As Claude watched on Rachel told her co-stars: ‘I’ll take the hit for it.’

Although, when Rachel was faced with Lord Alan Sugar in the boardroom, she backtracked and denied that she never said that Robbie would sing to them.

‘We never offered that,’ she insisted.

A speechless Claude just looked on and said: ‘Rachel.’

‘One of the traps of The Apprentice is that they promise a lot and then can’t deliver,’ Claude later said to the camera

‘And Rachel Johnson fell into that trap.’

‘She was caught out in the boardroom even though she denied ever giving that promise, but I was there and heard the promise so she couldn’t really deny it as much as she tried,’ he added.

Viewers couldn’t help but comment on the ‘lie’ as one tweeted: ‘Rachel Johnson is as a liar. She promised a Robbie Williams serenade then flatly denied it even though she was filmed on camera saying it!’

Another added: ‘Claude on The Apprentice ‘Rachel Johnson fell into the trap of promising something she couldn’t deliver’.

While one commented: ‘Rachel JOHNSON lied.’

A new series of The Apprentice was unable to go ahead this year due to the pandemic, so the BBC has put together six episodes of highlights from over the years.

The Apprentice Best Bits starts tonight at 9pm on BBC One.
