Chris Evans teases Avengers: Infinity War's "dangerous" Captain America
Avengers: Infinity War will feature a “dangerous” side to Captain America that we haven’t really seen before in the MCU.
At the end of Captain America: Civil War, Cap (Chris Evans) discarded his shield and broke Ant-Man, Falcon, Scarlet Witch and Hawkeye out of the Raft, something that has changed his entire outlook on life.
“I imagine when he wakes up in the morning, there is a routine. Part of that is in his nature, part of that is just to keep his sanity, and that all kind of goes out the window a little bit after [Civil War]. You see a guy who doesn’t stop caring but just puts down some of that obligation,” Evans told USA Today.
Of course, the biggest change to Cap that we can see is the arrival of a magnificent beard that got everyone all flustered after the first Infinity War trailer landed.
“I don’t think it’s in his nature to be too much of a loose cannon, but there’s a lack of formality. He’s checked all that at the door and he’s gone inside himself for a little while, and as a result, he’s a little irreverent and maybe even a little dangerous,” he teased.
But just because Cap has a beard now and wasn’t exactly Iron Man’s best friend in Civil War, Evans added that the two are on better terms in Infinity War. After all, they’ve got Thanos to fight.
“We’re two sides of the same coin, fighting for the same thing just with very different approaches, but neither one of us are complete. In a way, we need the other person. Reconciliation is necessary but probably not easy to come by,” he outlined.
Avengers: Infinity War will be released on April 26 in the UK and April 27 in the US. Book tickets now.
