Coronation Street reveals tragic scenes for Jenny and Johnny Connor next week

Coronation Street‘s Jenny Connor opens up over the tragic death of her son in heartbreaking scenes next week.

Jenny (Sally Ann Matthews) leaves her husband Johnny deeply moved when she finally confides in him about the real reason she’s so keen to leave the country.

Over the past few weeks, Corrie fans have seen Jenny become obsessed with plans for her and Johnny (Richard Hawley) to emigrate to Spain and start a new life.

She’s also grown frustrated with the never-ending supply of Connor family dramas, which have delayed the big move several times.

Next week, Johnny confides in Liz McDonald (Beverley Callard) about how Jenny has been behaving strangely recently.

Liz suggests that Johnny should speak to his wife, but when he does, he manages to offend her by implying that she might be cheating on him.

Seeing that Johnny needs an explanation, Jenny takes him along to the children’s playground, where she once scattered her son’s ashes.

Jenny reveals that it’s the anniversary of his death and one of the reasons she wanted to leave the country was to escape the memories.

Jenny’s grief was previously explored in her 2015 return stint, which saw her develop an obsession with Kevin Webster’s son Jack.

It was later revealed that Jenny’s son Tom had drowned in a paddling pool when he was four years old, which led to her suffering a breakdown.

Coronation Street airs these scenes on Friday, May 4 at 7.30pm and 8.30pm on ITV.
