Coronation Street's Ali Neeson makes big killer confession next week

Coronation Street‘s Ali Neeson shares his murder secret with Robert Preston in dramatic scenes next week.

Ali (James Burrows) reaches breaking point as the guilt of killing Ronan Truman continues to take its toll.

Next week’s episodes see Ronan’s mother Patti (Anne Kent) pay a visit to the cobbles, wanting to hear the full story of how he died.

Knowing that Ali was the last person to see Ronan before he passed away, Patti begs for him to talk her through her son’s final moments.

Ali can’t back down from his cover story now, so he lies that he did everything he could to save Ronan – but he secretly feels terrible over his deception.

Back at home later, Ali breaks down and tells Michelle (Kym Marsh) that he can’t live with the guilt any longer, leaving her worried over what he might do next.

After hitting the bottle to forget his troubles for a while, Ali returns home drunk and confides in Robert (Tristan Gemmill) about how he murdered Ronan and now intends to hand himself in to the police.

Although shocked by what he’s heard, Robert urges Ali not to confess and instead return to his GP training, where he’ll have the opportunity to save thousands of lives.

Robert even offers Ali a job in the Bistro kitchen for a few weeks until he returns to the hospital. Ali thanks Robert and Michelle for their unerring support and seems to be back on track, but is his guilty conscience a ticking timebomb?

Coronation Street airs these scenes on Friday, November 2 at 7.30pm and 8.30pm on ITV.
