Coronation Street fans have been desperate for Fiz Stape (played by Jennie McAlpine) and Tyrone Dobbs (Alan Halsall) to get back together ever since he walked out and started a romance with Alina Pop (Ruxandra Porojnicu). In recent scenes, ITV viewers have excitedly watched on the edge of their seats as Tyrone and Fiz have grown closer as they deal with their daughter Hope Stape (Isabella Flanagan). Despite planning their wedding, Alina has started acting suspiciously towards Hope. When she found out Hope had started the fire that led her to lose her unborn baby, Alina was furious and would stop at nothing to get revenge. However, in a turn of events, Alina has suddenly changed her tune and wants Tyrone’s daughter to be a bridesmaid at their wedding. But is it all a cover-up?
During Monday night’s double bill, Tyrone couldn’t hide his feelings for Fiz anymore and he struggled to get excited about his wedding plans with Alina.
The mechanic’s feelings for his ex only deepened when he saw her crying over a petition to have Hope removed from school.
The petition has made Fiz upset and angry and she is determined to find out who has set up the WhatsApp group.
“Have you been crying?” Tyrone asked Fiz. “What’s happened?”
“I’ve told her not to fret about it,” Evelyn (Maureen Lipman) chipped in as Tyrone asked: “Fret about what?”
His nan replied: “Some of the parents, they just want to exclude Hope from the school.”
As Tyrone questioned further, Fiz explained a WhatsApp group had been set up.
An emotional Fiz said: “They don’t think the kids are safe with Hope in the school.”
“It’s nothing,” Evelyn reassured. “It’s all something about nothing.”
“When did this happen?” Tyrone asked as Fiz replied: “Last night. I went to the school for a meeting first thing.”
Tyrone appeared to get mad with Fiz as he told her he wanted to be there.
“It’s fine,” she insisted. “It’s the parents it’s not the actual school. It’ll blow over.”
Later on in the episode, Fiz cornered Chesney Brown (Sam Aston) and David Platt (Jack P Shepherd) in the street to question them about the group.
Fiz is suspicious of Chesney after he told her he didn’t want Hope near his children.
“I’m just trying to do right by the kids,” he insisted as she replied: “Yeah, that’s what everyone keeps saying.

As Chesney denied knowing anything about it, Fiz raged: “Really? Thought you would have been an admin.
“Whoever has joined ought to be ashamed of themselves.”
Turning to David, she shouted: “Did you join it?”
“Oh, the remove Hope Stape group?” David sheepishly replied. “To be honest, I didn’t think about the title.”
“She is just a kid,” Fiz pleaded. “I know she did something wrong, but she doesn’t deserve this.”
After hearing what had happened with Hope, newcomer Phil (Jamie Kenna) asked Fiz out on a date.
When the pair are out at dinner, Evelyn let slip to Tyrone that Fiz was out having dinner with Phil, which only made him even more jealous.
Tyrone is determined to get back into Fiz’s good books and will do anything to find out who started the group about Hope.
It is unclear who began the WhatsApp group, but it seems like Tyrone will do anything to get Fiz back.
With his wife-to-be acting suspiciously, will Tyrone put two and two together and realise Alina is the culprit who started the group as a way of seeking revenge for the fire?
Coronation Street returns on Wednesday at 7.30pm on ITV.
