Corrie’s Abi makes a pass at Steve after Henry moves in on The Rovers Return
The battle for The Rovers Return commences as Henry goes off to the bank for a meeting in the hopes he will take the pub for his own.
But Steve is concerned that Johnny might become the landlord over his mum, Liz, and their sordid affair might continue in secret.
So the former pub landlord confronts Johnny, and reveals he know what happened between Johnny and Liz.
Johnny is shocked and assures him it was all a mistake and loves Jenny, before Liz promises Johnny their secret is safe and she will have a word with Steve.
Peter later shows Jenny and Johnny around the pub, and Jenny tells Liz she’s grateful to have her on board.
Johnny and Liz, of course, know what they have been up to and give each other a knowing look.
But how will Gemma react when she finds out who has taken over the pub?
Meanwhile, Abi has her first unsupervised visit with her twins since they were taken away from her.
She struggles to connect with the twins and suddenly Charlie goes missing and when Abi finds him in the ginnel, the twins say they want to go home.
Steve then arrives with a parcel or Abi, which he promised to collect for Abi to give as a present for the twins.
He arrives but finds Abi is tears, as the children would rather be with the foster parents than her.
She runs off and Seb and Emma go in search of Abi.
Steve tells Eileen and Tracy that he feels responsible for her upset, and then goes off to find her drunk at the tram station and challenges her when he realises she has drugs in her bag.
Steve tells Abi about Ruairi and tries to make sure she pulls herself together and should rebuild her relationship with the children.
Abi drunkenly gives him a kiss on the lips, and Tracy, oblivious to her mate’s advances on her man, arrives and takes Abi home.
Elsewhere, Rana watches Imran leave for their dad’s party, and is sad after her fight and disagreements with them mean she is not invited.
Kate takes the day off to keep her company, and later tells Rana Imran has called from the party, as their father collapsed.
Later, at the hospital, Imran tells Rana Hassan had a stroke, but Saira has banned her from visiting him.
Rana is devastated as Imran tries to point out that Saira shouldn’t deprive Hassan of seeing his daughter in case he dies, and Rana tells her mother that had she been at the party, she might have been able to spot his symptoms and save his life.
Finally, Sally calls Speed Dall and suggests they hold a fundraiser for Jack, but Yasmeen seems a little less convinced than Geoff, who is excited at the prospect.
