Disney's original Kim Possible and Ron Stoppable reunite for funny video announcing live-action reboot cast

Disney has come up with a (seemingly) surefire way to get fans of the original Kim Possible onboard for the upcoming live-action reboot movie.

The House of Mouse reunited the original Kim (Christy Carlson Romano) and Ron (Will Friedle) for a hilarious spoof video where the 30-somethings try very, very hard to win back their iconic roles.

Watch their funny audition video below and laugh, as Booyahs are shared and even Rufus makes a special guest appearance:

Unfortunately, Will’s elevated cholesterol and back problems seems to have tanked the original cast’s attempts to star in Disney Channel’s reboot, so two new actors have landed the roles instead.

Newcomer Sadie Stanley and The Goldbergs‘ Sean Giambrone are the lucky kids who’ll be protecting Middleton from Dr. Drakken and his forces of evil in director Adam B. Stein and Zach Lipovsky’s movie.

Much like the original, the reboot film follows high schooler Kim trying to stay ahead of her covert missions as a secret agent while her best pal Ron tags along to cause all manner of mischief.

“Sadie delivers Kim’s confidence, smarts, and agility; most importantly, she’s an everyday girl with an extraordinary spirit,” Disney Channel’s Judy Taylor said in a statement. “Sean is such a magnetic actor; he always finds the right balance of physical comedy and heart.

“We’re excited for audiences to see Sadie and Sean bring these iconic roles to life.”

There’s no premiere date set just yet for the new Kim Possible movie, so we’ll have to keep you posted on that. The classic animated series ran for 87 episodes between 2002 and 2007 on the Disney Channel.
