EastEnders' Phil Mitchell tries to bribe Max Branning as their feud heats up

EastEnders‘ Phil Mitchell will try to bribe his enemy Max Branning next week as their latest feud kicks off.

Max (Jake Wood) is returning to Walford this week as the proud new owner of the car lot, but not everyone is so happy about his business plans.

Unsurprisingly, Phil is one of the many locals absolutely furious by the developments and will be taking matters into his own hands next week.

Feeling back to his old self, Phil decides to make some plans for the future – vowing to be the successful business owner he once was.

Spotting that the car lot has reopened, Phil assumes Jay is behind it – but is left stunned when he discovers it now belongs to Max.

Horrified, Phil initially believes he can bribe Max away from the Square with cash, but quickly realises it’s not going to be that easy.

After Max declines Phil’s offer of money and throws all his efforts into his new business, his war with Phil intensifies as the week goes on. Who will come out on top?

EastEnders airs these scenes on Monday, April 30 and Tuesday, May 1 on BBC One.
