Emmerdale Al’s secret woman ‘worked out’ as fans predict Debbie Dingle twist
Emmerdale viewers have predicted Debbie Dingle is Al Chapman's mysterious other-half after he confirmed he was cheating on his girlfriend.
Debbie, played by Charley Webb, hasn't been seen in the Yorkshire dales since 2019, when she said goodbye to her family and moved to Scotland.
However, on Monday's episode, Al (Michael Wildman) confirmed he was carrying out a sordid affair behind his girlfriend Priya Sharma's (Fiona Wade) back.
A recent trailer for Emmerdale – teasing the drama on Christmas Day – showed Debbie's plans to return, sending fans' imagination into overdrive.
Al refused to share the identity of the mystery woman with his boss, Kim Tate, though he insisted she was a stranger.
Meanwhile, over on Twitter, viewers cast their predictions, wondering whether Debbie could be making a spectacular return.
One said: "So is Debbie Dingle the two-timing rat Al's mystery new girlie???#emmerdale."
"Remember when Als car broke down in Scotland & priya put him in touch with Debbie at her garage…… #Emmerdale," chimed a second.
And a third penned: "I think al is having an affair with Debbie dingle as she's back on Christmas Day."
The speculation comes after ITV released an Emmerdale Christmas trailer, centering around Al's infidelity.
Debbie could be seen making an appearance, reuniting with her mum Charity Dingle (Emma Atkins) after months away from the dales.
After laying eyes on the clip, a number of Emmerdale fans started to do the maths, trying to work out the identity of Al's secret leading lady.
Certain viewers remembered a scene earlier this year when Al's car broke down during a trip to Scotland.
Having trained as a mechanic, Debbie was asked to fix his car as a favour, as she happened to live nearby.
Remembering the meet-up, some viewers are convinced sparks flew between the pair when Debbie fixed his motor.
Who has Al set his sights on?
Emmerdale airs on weekdays at 7pm, with an extra episode at 8pm on Thursdays.
