Emmerdale fans' fears for Ross Barton grow as he vows to seek revenge for acid attack
Tonight’s (April 24) Emmerdale delivered a shock to fans as Simon McManus was found not guilty in the acid attack case.
Following a weak witness statement, and a dose of soap injustice, Ross Barton and his family were left reeling when Simon was allowed to walk free without punishment for his actions.
At the end of the episode, fans watched on as Ross vowed to seek revenge for the attack and take justice into his own hands – something that viewers were decidedly worried about.
As well as being incredulous over the non-guilty verdict, some fans were calling for Debbie Dingle to ‘do the right thing’ and admit her involvement in the attack.
Have faith, guys! Soapland always delivers justice one way or another.
Today’s verdict delivers yet another setback for an increasingly troubled Ross, who’s having a dark time of it at the moment – particularly with his spiralling addiction to painkillers.
In yesterday’s episode, Ross appeared to slip back into his previous bad-boy ways as he broke into the veterinary surgery and tried to blackmail Rhona.
C’mon, Ross! We’re all rooting for you.
Emmerdale airs weeknights at 7pm on ITV, with an extra episode at 8pm on Thursdays.
