Emmerdale star shares unrecognisable snap of co-stars in nostalgic throwback

Emmerdale and Only Fools and Horses actor Bhasker Patel uploaded an adorable past-time snap of his former co-stars.

Bhasker, 66, has played the show's Rishi Sharma for over a decade and posted a snap of former Emmerdale favourites in Scotland.

In the throwback Instagram photo, the former stars looked a lot younger and fresh-faced as they huddle together to take a lovely group photo while enjoying their trip away.

Some of the former stars in the snap include Chris Chittell, who played the show's Eric Pollard, Charley Webb, who played Debbie Dingle and Gaynor Faye, who portrayed Megan Macey.

Bhasker captioned the heart-warming snap: "Real Blast from…," and hashtagged Scotland while tagging each of his former co-stars.

Other iconic soap stars in the picture include Marlon Dingle actor Mark Charnock and Moira Barton actress Natalie Robb.

Emmerdale's loyal fan base went straight to the post's comment section to share some gushing replies about the rare gem of a snap.

One fan wrote: "Awe so many baby faces. lovely to see past cast."

A second penned: "AWW OMG!!So Young."

A third added: "What a fantastic picture of all the cast of Emmerdale from years ago up in Scotland. Bhasker Patel thank you for sharing this."

Bhasker has played the Emmerdale actor Rishi for more than a decade and first joined the farm in 2011.

His character Rishi is the ex-husband of Georgia Sharma and is currently married to Manpreet Sharma.

He's also a dad to three on the show – Jai, Nikhil and Priya Sharma.

Recently on the Dales, Bhasker's character has not had the best start to the year after his estranged wife Manpreet Sharma started a romance with Charles Anderson (Kevin Mathurin).

Not only has Rishi had to deal with heartbreak, but he almost lost his daughter Priya Sharma after she relapsed into an eating disorder after being burnt in a maze fire last year.

His son Jai has also moved back in with his dad after his relationship with Laurel Thomas broke down, leaving Nikhil in a sticky position.

In recently gripping scenes, Rishi's mystery illness is exposed in a shock twist.

Emmerdale airs weekdays at 7.30pm on ITV.
