Farrah Abraham Praises MTV for Firing Jenelle Evans' Husband From 'Teen Mom 2'
The former “Teen Mom” calls the network’s decision “responsible.”
Porn star and former "Teen Mom" Farrah Abraham thinks MTV made a "responsible" decision to cut ties with Jenelle Evans’ husband, David Eason, for sharing a slew of homophobic sentiments on Twitter.
"These certain words are not allowed in an work environment, and I’m happy to see MTV make a responsible employer choice," Abraham told Us Weekly.
"I hope David takes this as a learning experience to understand what the LGBT community is trying to improve," she said. "I hope he agrees, as if he has friends who should hopefully educate him, as some people die hearing those words and certain connotations, and it is very hurtful to the LGBT community."
In a since-deleted Twitter thread, Eason got into a heated debate with a fellow parent, in which Eason said, "Please tell me sir, how do you propose we make all of America start being better parents? Or are you a monkey’s uncle?"
In a later tweet to the same person, Eason wrote, "Why don’t you go tell the homo and transgender parents to start teaching their kids better morals? Oh, I forgot that’s supposed to be normal."
He also said he was planning on teaching his children to not associate with anyone in the LGBTQ community, writing, "If you lay down with dogs, you get up with fleas."
"I hope being a father, he does not teach that to his children," Abraham said. "For Jenelle, I hope she helps her husband become a better person, and that whatever they choose to decide for their livelihoods and working with MTV is their right choice."
Evans’ "Teen Mom 2" co-star Kailyn Lowry also thinks MTV made the right decision, telling TooFab earlier on Wedesday, "I think MTV did what’s right and we are all thankful for that."
