Helen, 31, was introduced as Rosie in 2000, the eldest daughter of beloved Coronation Street couple Sally Webster (played by Sally Dynevor) and Kevin Webster (Michael Le Vell). Over the past 18 years, the actress has made several exits from the ITV soap to pursue other career opportunities and to give birth to her two children. However, it is being reported the actress will not return to the show are making an exit in 2018 for a maternity break. But is Helen leaving the show?

Is Helen Flanagan leaving Coronation Street?

An unnamed source revealed the news, explaining it is “up in the air” as to whether Helen will return.

They said: “She wants to focus on her three children and has other career dreams, including acting roles, she would like to work on before making up her mind whether to reprise her role as Rosie.

“In the short term the break would be around two to three more years but there’s no saying she will come back even after that.”

The insider concluded by saying the actress does “love” the programme and she would ideally like another “three years” off but being off the show for so long has made it “unfeasible” for a return.

ITV has “left the door open” for her to make a comeback in the future, the source told The Sun, but she won’t be back anytime soon.

Express.co.uk has contacted a representative for Helen and a spokesperson for Coronation Street.
