Karen dies in EastEnders as Gray claims one final victim in heated showdown?

Karen Taylor (Lorraine Stanley) is set to discover the disturbing truth about Gray Atkins (Toby-Alexander Smith) in EastEnders, as she quizzes him about Chantelle’s (Jessica Plummer) death.

Gray, as viewers know, brutally murdered Chantelle many months ago, before claiming two more victims in Tina Carter (Luisa Bradshaw-White) and Kush Kazemi (Davood Ghadami).

Tina’s body was found in the Argee Bhajee last month, much to the horror of Mick (Danny Dyer) and Shirley (Linda Henry), who vowed to do whatever it takes to catch the person responsible for their loved one’s demise.

Whitney Dean (Shona McGarty), having put two and two together, told Mick that she believes that Gray killed Tina, a revelation which left Shirley irate.

Desperate to avoid Shirley’s wrath, Gray decided to get out of dodge, and thus kidnapped baby son Jordan from the hospital.

With the walls closing in on the killer, upcoming scenes will see him turn to Karen, the one person he knows he can trust.

Karen, proves to be the supportive shoulder Gray needs as, despite Mick and Shirley’s claims, she has her former son-in-law’s back, refusing to believe that he is capable of murderer.

That is, until she finally realises that Gray is not the innocent man he claims to be.

Pictures reveal the tense scenes in question, as Karen proceeds to confront the killer with accusations that he murdered Chantelle.

The grieving mum picks up a baseball bat, determined to get answers, and the mother of all showdowns ensue.

Will Karen prove instrumental in Gray’s downfall? Will she lash out with the weapon and murder the killer?

Or will she ensure that justice is served in another way?

One can hope. Gray, however, is determined to do whatever it takes to protect himself, and as tensions rise, Karen finds herself in a worrying situation.

Will Gray claim another victim before his reign of terror concludes?

EastEnders continues on BBC One on Wednesday March 9 at 7:30pm. These scenes air on Thursday March 10 at 7:30pm on BBC One.
