Kerry Katona reveals she blames herself for abusive relationships and admits she purposely wound up violent husband so he'd hit her
The Atomic Kitten singer has been married three times and is currently divorcing her third husband George Kay following their split last year.
They had previously split in 2015, following claims he assaulted her, but the case was later dropped after Kerry withdrew her statement.
He was accused of slapping the mum of five, leaving her with bruising on her face and arms, and pulling her hair.
Speaking on the Art of Winning Show, Kerry told of how she used to purposefully rile her ex up so he'd hit her.
She said: "My last husband was quite aggressive and he was quite violent towards me.
"I'm not blaming nobody, I'm not blaming my mum for the drugs, I'm not blaming my husbands for the violence – I allowed myself to be in those situations.
"No one forced me to do anything I didn't want to do.
"I'd be having epileptic fits from taking drugs and it was almost as if I was being feisty towards my husband because I wanted to get a good hiding because I thought that's what I deserved.
"But I'm stronger than ever now, I've walked away from it and I've turned it around.
"I've been bankrupt twice, married three times, five children by three different dads…but I feel amazing."
Kerry told of how she started taking drugs with her mum aged 14 and dreamed of having a perfect family home after spending her childhood in foster care.
She said: "I've been on a mission to find the right kind of man, when I was younger I wanted to have a husband and children; the nine-to-five job, put the tea on the table and do their homework.
"I think that's why I got married so many times, to try and recreate my dream of having that security…the whole 1950s thing is what I wanted."
She was married to first husband Brian McFadden, the father of her daughters Molly and Lily-Sue, from 2002 until 2006.
Kerry's second husband was Mark Croft, dad to Heidi and Max, but they divorced in 2011.
She also has a daughter, Dylan-Jorge, with Kay.
Over the past few months, Kerry has transformed her lifestyle and has impressed fans with her two-stone weight loss.
The 37-year-old recently posed with her lookalike daughter Lily-Sue and fans thought the pair could be sisters.
