Love Island has been hit with hundreds of complaints from fans after Molly Marsh returned unexpectedly as a Casa Amor girl.

She was sent packing fairly early on in the ITV dating show after Kady McDermott decided to pick her partner Zachariah Noble.

Little did the contestants know that this would mean Molly would be sent home packing, leaving the singletons stunned.

The time then came for the show’s most dramatic challenge to hit the villa, Casa Amor, with the Islanders being separated and introduced to five new boys and five new girls.

What no one was expecting, however, was for Molly to return but not everyone was happy with the twist.

Ofcom received a whopping 372 complaints after Molly was reunited with the boys in the main villa as a Casa Amor girl.

According to the communication regulator, this was the official reason for the backlash, stating: “Complaints related to contestant Molly Moore being reintroduced to Casa Amor having been eliminated from the programme the previous week.”

Viewers also took to Twitter to share their upset at her unexpected comeback, many stating that it took the shine away from the Casa Amor part of the series.

@jwoosangel wrote: “Letting molly come back during casa is soo weird because it takes the fun away from casa. i feel like i’m watching the molly and zach saga, and that’s not fair on the new girls.”

While @Will_Njo commented: “The fact that Molly was dumped, went on Aftersun, had a chance to watch herself back, gauge the public’s thoughts/opinions, check her IG, get an agent & be invited back for Casa is wild to me.

“The most privileged position any Islander (in the show’s history) can be in #LoveIsland.”

When Molly did re-enter the villa, she let it be known that she was far from happy with Zach’s actions.

After her shock arrival, Zach pulls Molly for a chat and they go to the fireplace together for a one-on-one.

She tells him: “Zach, Zach, Zach…I’m really confused I’m not going to lie.

“When I left, we didn’t get a chance to speak much, did we. As soon as I left, all I’ve been saying is I’m waiting, I’m waiting for him and now I’m just so confused.

“I just wonder if you’ve still been thinking of me? Or am I not in your mind anymore?”

But will the pair be able to rekindle their previous romance or is Zach now more interested in Kady?
