Love Island winners Paige and Finn to use prize money for deposit on a house

They might have only met a month ago – but Paige Turley and Finn Tapp are already putting their £50,000 Love Island prize money down as a deposit on a house.

And the couple will soon be hearing the pitter patter of tiny feet – paws, to be more precise.

“We’re looking to move in together already, 100%,” says Finn. “Because it’s so intense in there, I can’t imagine not being together 24/7. We’re going to try to act quite fast.”

The couple are based in Scotland and Oxford, so are looking to buy “somewhere in the middle ground” near Manchester.

“And we’re going to get a Staffie,” squeals Paige, who reveals they’ve already planned to name their dog Frank. The couple were named winners on Sunday, in an episode of Love Island dedicated to former host Caroline Flack, left, who took her life earlier this month, aged 40.

Presenter Laura Whitmore, who was friends with her, said the winning couple’s “warmth, kindness and smiley faces” helped her through the incredibly tough time.

Paige, Finn and all the finalists were told by the ITV2 show’s psychiatrist on Saturday. Finn says: “It’s a really sad time – all we can do is send love to her family.”

Caroline presented the series since it began in 2015. She stepped down as host in December, after being charged with assault, pending trial.

An average of 2.4million people watched the final, and the show is back in summer.
