Love Island’s Ellie Brown slams ITV for turning show into ‘money making machine’

Celebrity Ex On The Beach cast-member Ellie Brown has slated the new winter Love Island.

The reality star was on the dating show back in 2018, but has said, "it's too much".

The 20-year-old told Daily Star Online exclusively: "I do think it's too much and I think it's more mainly a money-making machine now."

The star added that she does think the first series "will do well because everyone's curious".

Like many fans have vented, Ellie poked fun at the show for being labelled a "winter series" but is still filmed in a hot and sunny location, in South Africa.

Ellie went on to say it's supposed to be winter Love Island, but it's "in the sun".

She said: "They've taken winter Love Island to South Africa in the sun, so it's just the same? Yeah it's not winter it's sun…"

The media personality was discussing being part of the brand new series Celebrity Ex On The Beach.

She spoke about being part of the reality show after being on Love Island two years ago.

When asked how it differed from her Love Island experience, she said: "With Love Island, I think because it's got so big, now when people go in there you question whether they're in there for the clout, but like with us [her fellow Ex On The Beach co-stars], we're already in the public eye so it is genuinely just our real lives and relationships that you know about."

Ellie made headlines after she started dating Ex On The Beach and Love Island star Michael Griffiths.
