Meghan Markle ’s estranged father, Thomas Markle, is set to appear on Good Morning Britain tomorrow.

This update comes hours before Meghan and Harry’s tell-all interview with Oprah is set to air live in the UK, in which Meghan says her father “betrayed her”.

Host Piers Morgan tweeted: “UPDATE: Meghan Markle trashed her dad on US TV today.

On tomorrow's @GMB, Thomas Markle will give his first exclusive interview in response.”

During the revealing interview, which was aired in the US last night, Meghan says how she could never imagine hurting her son Archie the way her own father 'betrayed' her.

Presenter Piers is sure to grill Thomas on his relationship with Meghan and his thoughts on the Oprah revelations, ensuring GMB is set to be very explosive.

Thomas and Meghan have been estranged since the week of her wedding to Prince Harry back in 2018.

He had been scheduled to walk her down the aisle in Windsor Castle, but he suffered a heart attack just 11 days before the much-anticipated day.

It was later exposed that Thomas had agreed to pose for press photographs, showing him being fitted for a suit, as well as reading up on British history in a book in a cafe.

The final straw proved to be when a private and personal letter Meghan wrote to him was published in a newspaper, exposing their relationship behind closed doors.

Thomas has already appeared on GMB to talk to Piers and Susanna Reid several times, as well as other TV channels and programmes.

He has previously accused Meghan and Harry of refusing to talk to him, and shared his desire to try and build bridges with the pair.

Piers has made his feelings about Meghan and Harry very clear while presenting on Good Morning Britain, launching into a rant about the aftermath of the Oprah chat.

Oprah With Meghan and Harry will air on ITV at 9pm tonight.
