Soap spoilers: EastEnders Halfway secret, Hollyoaks romance twist, Coronation Street return, Emmerdale sex worries
EastEnders has confirmed that Halfway will be hiding a secret when he returns to Albert Square later this month.
Halfway makes a surprise reappearance in Walford in a week’s time – much to the delight of Whitney Carter (Shona McGarty), who’s been keeping in touch with her love interest via video chats during his time away in the army.
When Halfway arrives back, Whitney takes him straight over to the Queen Vic to celebrate with the Carters – and they’re all keen to thank the man who helped them to save the pub a few weeks ago.
Despite the jovial atmosphere, Whitney soon notices that Halfway’s mind seems to be elsewhere. What is he hiding and does it relate to his recent time away?
EastEnders bosses announced last month that they’d decided to bring back Tony Clay as Halfway following a positive response to his initial stint in the show.
Speaking at the time, Tony revealed: “I’m really happy and excited to be back on EastEnders and working with such a brilliant cast and crew. Halfway is such a lovely role to play and I’m really looking forward to exploring his story further and seeing where it takes us.”
EastEnders airs these scenes on Monday, April 30 at 8pm on BBC One.
Over on Hollyoaks, Adam Donovan is about to give into temptation with DS Roxy Cassidy.
The pair have worked closely together over the past few weeks, after Adam (Jimmy Essex) agreed to team up with DS Roxy to bring down his father Glenn.
Later this month, Adam struggles after being involved in another crime while undercover for the police.
Experiencing flashbacks after being caught up in a risky robbery, Adam is struggling and even lashes out violently when Darren Osborne brushes past him in the street.
When Adam flips out and punches Darren, it’s a worrying sign that he’s starting to become more like his dangerous dad.
While Maxine is terrified by Adam’s outburst, DS Roxy (Lizzie Stavrou) steps in to arrest him.
Rather than bringing Adam into the police station, DS Roxy takes him elsewhere and they end up sleeping together as tensions run high. Will Adam regret it afterwards?
Hollyoaks airs these scenes on Monday, April 30 at 6.30pm on Channel 4.
Over on Coronation Street, Billy Mayhew faces possible eviction when he returns home to the cobbles.
Billy (Daniel Brocklebank) has been receiving treatment in rehab over the past few weeks after getting addicted to heroin.
When Billy arrives back in Wednesday’s Corrie double bill, he’s managed to clean up his act – but returning to his old life isn’t as easy as he’d hoped for.
Just when Billy is collecting Summer Spellman (Matilda Freeman) from Eileen’s to take her back home, Tracy Barlow drops the bombshell that she’s evicting him for being three months in arrears with the rent.
Tracy (Kate Ford) also makes it clear that she doesn’t want a junkie living at the flat, showing her disapproval over Billy’s recent mistakes.
Fortunately, Billy does still have some friends on the cobbles that he can rely on, with Shona and Adam both coming to his defence in front of Tracy.
After some advice from Adam, a determined Shona (Julia Goulding) suggests that she could move in with Billy and Summer and act as guarantor for the flat. Will Tracy go for the idea?
Coronation Street airs these scenes on Wednesday, April 25 at 7.30pm and 8.30pm on ITV.
Meanwhile, Emmerdale newcomer Misty Allbright causes a stir when she decides to involve herself in Jimmy and Nicola King’s relationship issues.
Misty (Hedydd Dylan) was introduced on screen earlier this month as the much younger new girlfriend of Nicola’s father Rodney Blackstock.
Rodney’s passion with Misty couldn’t have come at a worse time for his family, with Jimmy (Nick Miles) and Nicola (Nicola Wheeler) experiencing issues in the bedroom at the moment.
Next week, an embarrassed Jimmy avoids Nicola’s latest advances and Rodney is concerned to notice that something is amiss between them.
Deciding that she might be able to help, Misty reminds Jimmy that she’s a sex therapist and offers to help him with his issues.
As she leads Jimmy upstairs, will Misty prove helpful or could her interference be a stumbling block for Nicola?
Emmerdale airs these scenes on Monday, April 23 and Tuesday, April 24 at 7pm on ITV.
