Strictly fans in hysterics as they claim Jamie Laing and Karen Hauer were partnered up because of their matching hairdos
STRICTLY fans were in hysterics tonight as they claimed Made in Chelsea's Jamie Laing and his pro partner Karen Hauer were paired up because of their matching hairdos.
Karen revealed her striking new short hair that she's dyed peroxide blonde – which is very similar to reality star Jamie's usual look.
One Strictly viewer tweeted: "Interesting that they paired Jamie with Karen… they have exactly the same hair."
A second person posted: "Jamie and karen twinning with their hair."
A third fan added: "So glad claudia mentioned jamie's and karen's hair being carbon copies of one another. I'm here for it (sic)."
Another person joked: "Did they pair Jamie and Karen together because they have the same hair style?" while someone else tweeted: "Love that Karen and Jamie coordinated their hair."
Even Karen and Jamie found the whole thing funny as they sat down for a brief chat with Strictly host Claudia Winkleman.
"What I love is, almost by osmosis – not that you knew, you both have the same hair and I’m delighted! You’re like twins!" Claudia told them.
Laughing at her comment, Karen leaned her head in towards Jamie's and said: "You know what I love about Jamie is that he’s just so happy and positive and I love that, I can’t wait to start training."
The reality TV star added: "I’m just excited to be here!" before revealing he had already showed the pro is dance moves.
"I was like, 'Karen step back, this is what you’re in for', and I started to dance and I was expecting to see Karen's face with pure delight and it was sheer disappointment!
"I was like, 'really? You could have at least faked it!'" he added.
Jamie also admitted that he would taking it easy in the first group dance as to avoid sustaining an injury.
The TV star was forced to pull out of the 2019 series of Strictly after injuring his foot badly two days before the launch show was aired.
He was replaced by soap star Kelvin Fletcher, who went on to win the series.
