Strictly’s Jason Bell says ex Nadine Coyle gave him dancing ‘tips and tricks’
Strictly Come Dancing 's Jason Bell admitted his pop star ex-lover Nadine Coyle has given him plenty of advice for taking part in the competition.
The 42-year-old former American footballer is taking part in the brand new series of the BBC show, and he revealed his ex girlfriend has given him "tips and tricks".
Speaking to Daily Star Online and other media outlets, Jason confirmed he'd spoken to the Girls Aloud star about doing the show.
Discussing how Nadine has experience with dancing and choreography, Jason said he's talked to his former flame about Strictly.
He said: "Yes. We've talked about it.
"I said "do I have enough time during the week to get these routines down", you know she's done it her whole life, and she's like "yeah you do, but you really got to lock in and be focussed and I'll help you I'll give you some tips and tricks", so I got a couple in."
Jason and Nadine are parents to six-year old daughter Anaiya.
They split in 2019 after 11 years together, but have remained friends and co-parents to their little one.
Jason said both Nadine and his daughter were right behind him for the show: "Yes, they are highly supportive and they're as excited as I am."
He added: "They talk about it daily. Sometimes I'm just like "hey, let me just calm my nerves a little bit now". My daughter she asked me about it last night talking about how she was going to behave and how nervous she was going to be ."
When asked if he was competitive, the sportsman remarked: "I'm definitely competitive, but not against other people. I really am in competition against myself."
