Tayshia Adams Reacts to the New Bachelorette and It’s Hilarious

[Spoiler alert: The Bachelorette 2020.] On Oct. 27, The Bachelorette truly leaned into the rumors about Tayshia Adams and Clare Crawley. The trailer for week 4 suggested Crawley may leave the ABC reality series for contestant Dale Moss. Meanwhile, the teaser hinted Adams might dive right in as the new bachelorette. So what’s coming next? Recently, Adams shared her reaction to the preview as well as her thoughts about the remaining cast members.

Tayshia Adams is reportedly the new bachelorette after Clare Crawley

Before The Bachelorette Season 16 even premiered on ABC, rumors swirled around the current lead. According to multiple reports, Adams replaced Crawley after she fell in love with one of the contestants. And to no one’s surprise after watching the first three episodes, that person is allegedly Moss.

Meanwhile, ABC executive Rob Mills confirmed Adams’ first appearance on The Bachelorette Season 16 will be on Thursday, Nov. 5.

“Tayshia will be part of the season starting next week,” Mills said on The Viall Files podcast on Oct. 27. “This is where, as Chris Harrison says, The Bachelorette will blow up.”

Tayshia Adams reacts to the new ‘Bachelorette’ trailer

When The Bachelorette trailer teases Adams’ appearance on Oct. 27, the new lead teased the moment on the Click Bait podcast with co-hosts Hannah Ann Sluss and Joe Amabile.

“What do you mean? I don’t know what you guys are talking about,” Adams said. The former phlebotomist also added that she simply loves Palm Springs and La Quinta Resort & Club, where The Bachelorette Season 16 was filmed.

Then on the Nov. 5 episode of Click Bait, Sluss and Amabile continued to tease their co-host about her upcoming role. But once again, Adams avoided the big reveal — sort of.

“Look, all I know is that I was just… I had a busy summer. But I don’t know. I don’t have anything to tell you,” Adams said and laughed. “Apparently, we’re getting a new bachelorette. I’m excited to see who steps out of that limo.”

Then when Amabile asked whether Adams would receive a new lineup of men, the 30-year-old told everyone to watch the Nov. 5 episode of The Bachelorette. But luckily, Sluss and Amabile didn’t let Adams off the hook that easily.

The Bachelor Nation alums asked whether Adams had her eye on any of the cast members, and she admitted the suitors were “really hot.” And when Sluss disagreed, noting she had “higher expectations,” Adams suggested that most of the Bachelorette cast members have yet to show their true colors.

“I think you haven’t seen a lot of the guys,” Adams said. “You’ve seen a selected few. You haven’t really seen their personalities, you haven’t really seen anything yet.”

She continued, “It’s really been about Clare and Dale and their love story. I’m really happy for them. But it’s going to be really fun to see if these guys open up and if you see more about them.”

While Adams didn’t exactly confirm she is the new bachelorette, her comments certainly indicate the Nov. 5 episode will be worth the watch. But regardless, the reality star’s comments about the cast are spot-on. The 16th season has solely focused on Crawley’s connection with Moss. Now, we’ll hopefully get to see other contestants shine — and maybe even fall in love. So get ready.
