This Morning guest leaves Eamonn and Ruth gobsmacked after swearing live on-air

This Morning 's Ruth Langsford and Eamonn Holmes were left gobsmacked as a guest swore live on the ITV show today.

Ruth was forced to apologise for a guest's bad language on Monday's show.

The show's new consumer expert Katie Morley was on the episode to help viewers in her 'consumer helpline' segment.

However, she seemingly found one of the caller's dilemmas particularly bad, as she proceeded to swear live on air.

Katie was listening to a horror story where a woman called Lesley explained the difficulty she'd had getting a refund for a sofa during the lockdown.

Her emotions got the better of her as she declared: "So sorry darling that's s***", before quickly covering her mouth when she realised what she'd done.

'"Sorry!" she exclaimed.

The awkward moment certainly wasn't missed by viewers though.

They went into meltdown on Twitter after the jaw-dropping This Morning moment.

One said: "Well I wasn't expecting the S bomb being dropped on #ThisMorning."

While another wrote: "Imagine being on #ThisMorning with Eamon and Ruth and saying 'Sorry darling, that's s***!'"

"@KatieMorley_ oooops s*** on @thismorning made my day – a real honest response #ThisMorning," giggled a third.

After her slip-up, Ruth was forced to apologise to viewers.

"We do apologise, we apologise for that," said Ruth, while Eamonn glared at Katie, a look which sent viewers into hysterics.

One said: "Look at Eamonn's face after she says s***! He looks like he wants to kill her!!! #ThisMorning."

While another wrote: ""We all knew it was s***. Katie was just saying as it is #ThisMorning."
