Where is Lucifer season 5, part 2 set?
After more than six months of waiting, Lucifer season five, part two is finally here.
Part two of the upcoming series was originally intended to be the show’s final outing but Netflix reversed its decision and renewed Lucifer for a sixth and final season.
As a result, there are 16 episodes in the fifth outing of Lucifer which has been split into two parts.
Carrying on from part one, the latest instalment will once again be set in Los Angeles, US.
Fans may also get to see a glimpse of heaven and hell in part two.
At the end of Lucifer season five, part two, Lucifer’s father God made an unexpected arrival on Earth.
He arrived in the LAPD offices in a bid to break up his children – Lucifer, Amenadiel and Michael – from fighting.
Part two will see Lucifer and God discuss their differences and their estranged relationship over a family dinner.
The trailer for the upcoming episodes has revealed there will be an all-out war between twin brothers, Michael and Lucifer.
In the upcoming eight episodes, Lucifer will battle to become God after his father announced he would be retiring.
Speaking with John Siuntres on the World Balloon YouTube Channel, Lucifer co-showrunner Joe Henderson teased there will be “a lot of ” to come between the father and sons.
He shared: “Let’s just say that Lucifer and Dad are going to have a lot of conversations about where they’ve been, and that’s the kind of thing they’ll be talking about.”
He added: “The Lucifer-God — and actually the God-Amenadiel stuff — is like, just, it was such a delight to play with and as you’ll see in the trailer, Dennis Haysbert does not lack for moments of the emotion of drama and humour.”
Where is Lucifer season 5, part 2 filmed?
Lucifer season five, part two was filmed on location in Los Angeles.
Filming also took place at Warner Bros Burbank studio lot in California.
The first season of the show was shot on location in Los Angeles, with season two moving to Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada.
Lucifer returned to Los Angeles, California in season three where it has remained ever since.
Notable locations fans may recognise in Lucifer season five include El Captain Theatre in Los Angeles which serves the exterior of Lucifer’s nightclub Lux and The Emerson Theatre which is where the interior scenes are shot.
The Sunset Tower Hotel also serves for the aerial shots of the building.
The LAPD offices have been shot at several locations over the years including Burnaby City Hall and the Parker Center.
LA residents may also notice several LA hotspots in the series including The Wayfarers chapel, Mesquit Street, Vine Street, 7080 Mulholland Drive, the Caprice Nightclub, Franklin Street, and Hollywood Boulevard.
