Cops arrest, charge suspect in fatal Bronx deli shooting

Cops have busted the masked gunman who allegedly shot up a Bronx deli Friday night, killing a 34-year-old behind the counter, police said Wednesday.

The accused killer, Leonard Nieves, was arrested and charged with murder and manslaughter Wednesday over the shooting at B&A Gourmet Deli at 217 Brook Ave. in Mott Haven, according to police.

Yahya Almuntser was behind the counter at the deli at around 6:30 p.m. when the 33-year-old gunman walked in and shot him in the chest several times, according to police.

Footage of the shooter was released on Sunday.

Nieves’ motive remained unclear.

Customers and locals pols mourned the worker on Saturday.

Nieves was also charged with criminal possession of a weapon.

Another deli worker was shot dead on Tuesday in Williamsbridge in an unrelated shooting, according to cops.
