Husband accused of decapitating wife calmly carries severed head down street

A man accused of murdering his wife walked out of their home carrying her severed head and calmly walked with it along a street.

The suspect, named only as Mr Zhang, allegedly killed his spouse during a violent row and decapitated her.

The 31-year-old was caught on CCTV walking with her head, before dumping it in a nearby waste disposal unit, a short walk from their flat.

The incident happened in the village of Kangle in southern China, and was reported after the victim’s head was discovered by a sanitation worker who called police .

The headless body of the 28-year-old woman was found inside their flat and Zhang was later arrested on murder charges.

Chilling CCTV emerged of the moment Zhang walked out the front entrance of his building holding his wife’s head in his left hand.

The couple are both natives of North China’s Hebei Province authorities said in a public statement.

Another unidentified man accompanies him in the clip before they walk through the alleyway with the head together.

Shockingly, no one else in the alleyway appears to notice the woman’s head during the short clip.

Reports said the victim’s head was later retrieved from the transfer station by the authorities, who carried it away in a cardboard box. Investigations are still ongoing.
