Joe Biden vows to not raise taxes for anyone making under $400K

Joe Biden on Friday promised to not raise taxes for those making under $400,000 if he’s elected.

The presumptive Democratic presidential nominee appeared on CNBC, where he discussed economic recovery post-coronavirus, saying it was a “long ways away.”

“Nobody making under 400,000 bucks would have their taxes raised, period. Bingo. Let’s get people back to work,” Biden said on “Squawk Box.”

The former vice president suggested “stop rewarding wealth and start rewarding work,” and took aim at the 2017 tax cuts.

“Let’s raise the capital gains tax for people making over a million bucks a year. Let’s reverse the Trump tax cut,” he said.

“Imagine if we had that $2 trillion now as we go into, God willing, recovery, which is a long ways away as I see it right now.”
