Second body found at Britannia Hotel in Manchester in room after man fell to his death from fifth floor
Police were called after a man in his 20s fell from the Britannia Hotel on Portland Street at around 5.30am this morning.
Officers investigating the incident then gained entry to a room and found another man unresponsive inside.
Both men were pronounced dead at the scene.
Shattered glass was seen near a forensics tent on Silver Street behind the hotel and a fifth-floor window appeared to have been smashed.
Greater Manchester Police has launched an investigation and Silver Street – a road behind the hotel – has been closed in both directions.
