Taxi rapist John Worboys lands cushy job as cleaner in his prison's hospital wing
The role keeps him away from vengeful inmates at HMP Wakefield, dubbed Monsters Mansion.
But the predator, suspected of more than 100 sex attacks, will be able to mix with nurses while running errands.
A source said: “Worboys may be unhappy to still be in jail but he has landed the easiest role there.
“It is really quiet in the hospital wing and the job keeps him there for the long haul.”
We told last month how Worboys had been moved off the main wing for his safety.
But our source said of the ex-stripper: “It seems odd to put a bloke who thinks he’s the biggest charmer around in a role where he will mix with nurses.”
Nurse Karen Cosford, 47, was jailed for three years in 2012 for having sex with rapist Brian McBride in the hospital wing.
Worboys, who now calls himself John Radford, was jailed indefinitely in 2009 with a minimum eight-year term for 19 sex offences against 12 women.
In March, the High Court reversed a Parole Board decision to release him.
Asked about his job, a Ministry of Justice spokesman declined to comment.
