Saira Khan has urged women over the age of 50 to ‘stop worrying’ and post bikini snaps as she shared a stunning selfie.

The former Loose Women star, 53, took to Instagram on Monday to share a gorgeous snap of herself posing up a storm in a two-piece.

She showed off her incredible figure as she stunned in a white bikini with yellow floral patterns across it as she posed in front of the mirror.

Saira also shared another picture of herself posing in a blue frilled two-piece as she enjoys a sun-soaked trip to Juice Master Retreats.

The presenter showed off her fresh-faced beauty as she flashed a smile and penned an empowering, body-confident caption alongside the post.

She urged women over the age of 50 to post bikini snaps and not ‘worry’ about their age or what other people think of them.

Saira gushed: ‘Should a woman over 50 wear a bikini? – I saw this being debated in the press a few days ago and my answer is a huge YES YOU CAN!

‘Go for it ladies – you’ve only got one life. Stop listening to these stupid debates and stop worrying about your age and what others think. Do you.

‘This is me unfiltered, confident, real and this is the motto I live my life by.

‘This bikini by @danaemercer for @inthestyle – made with 50% recycle polyamide – thanks for the gift @danaemercer. I love it.’

It comes after Saira opened up about feeling ‘happier’ and more confident in her own skin as she has gotten older.

Speaking to the Daily Mail in March, Saira said: ‘I grew up in a culture where the way you look – your hair, your clothes – is a symbol of your honour, your femininity, your self-respect, your modesty.

‘If you start being a bit edgy, a bit different, people look at you in a certain way. It’s frowned upon, you get criticised. People will even say you look ugly. And, for a lot of my life, I tried to be a people pleaser.

‘But as I’ve got older, it’s all about being happy in my own skin.’

Saira – who appeared on the first series of The Apprentice in 2005 – told how the show made her feel like it was ‘OK’ to be ‘assertive’ as a woman.

She said: ‘Being on that show made me feel that, as a woman, it’s OK to have an opinion and be assertive, to want to succeed and to make money.

‘But I also realised that not everyone wants women to be like that. So I was also having to deal with the backlash. And that was pretty tough. Sometimes that means making changes.’

Saira went on to say how she feels like she is living her ‘best life’ because she has spoken openly about her experiences and no longer cares what others think of her.

‘I don’t have to prove myself to people who aren’t important to me. I don’t think you can ever live your life until you don’t care what those people think,’ she added.
